Overnight: High standard First Class hotel. 13- 16.01: Land of the Shan: Flight to Heho, we will explore the Land of the Shan and the Inle Lake district, 850 meters above sea level. Visit the local 5-day rotating market, according to the days they are open in the region. We shall see the village of Ywama and the cultivating of crops on floating islands. We shall also go by boat to the unspoiled southern villages, where the culture and traditional life-style of the ethnic groups of Pao and Inthas and their villages still survives. Overnights: 3 nights: Inle Lake: Traditional huts on stilts, on the lake. 16.01: Fly to Mandalay. 16-18.01: Mandalay: Mandalay was the last capitol of Burma before the British took over. Visit Shwenandaw Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery) a fine example of a former teak wood palace. Visit the famous gold leaf makers, where sheets of gold are beaten into gossamer-thin pieces, which devotes use to gild the images and stupas. View the city from Mandalay Hill. Drive to Amarapura 11 km from Mandalay, visit the Mahagandayon monastery where 1300 Buddhist monks reside. Continue to U-Bein's Bridge, has stood for two centuries and remains the longest teak wood span in the world. Overnight in Mandalay: Very good First Class hotel. (2 nights) 18.01:Fly to Bagan ( Pagan). Pagan is the most amazing sight in Burma, if not South-East Asia. Across 40 sq km of country, stand literally thousands of stupas and temples. A ' Garden of Eden' for lovers of archaeologically and history. We will explore and wonder through archaeological zone Overnight: Very good Tourist Class garden hotel. (1 night) 19.01: Salay-Mt Popa and more. Drive to Continue to Salay to visit the unique Temple Museum, Continue east to Mt Popa an extinguished Volcano , and visit the "Nat" temple at its foot. Overnight: A very good Tourist Class garden hotel. (1 night) 20.01: A Visit to a very special remote village, there we shall experience and a special event. We shall not disclose the location of this village as we want to keep it untouched by mass tourism! Return to Pagan and continue touring. Overnight: A very good Tourist Class garden hotel. (1 night) 21.01 Continue to explore Pagan. Fly back to Rangoon. Overnight: High standard First Class hotel. ( 1 night) 22.01: Rangoon: Sight seeing in the capitol Yangoon. Visit the Sule Paya (Pagoda) and Shwedagon Paya Kipling called it a 'golden mystery...a beautiful winking wonder'. Shwedagon is the most sacred of all Buddhist sites in the country. We shall also visit the Moseah Yeshua Synagogue, founded over 100 years ago and the near by cemetery dating back to 1856. Evening flight to Bangkok.
