Avila with its amazing intact 11th
century walls. On to the splendid University City of
Salamanca. Tour the Cathedral Vieja, University buildings

Asturias and an important stop on the “Way of St James (Camino)”. Visit

to Santiago de Compostela. Along the way experience an optional
short walk along the Camino with the pilgrims. Drive via the villages of

Santiago de Compostela one of Europe’s
most enchanting cities, with its old quarters and a maze of narrow
streets. According to the tradition the Apostle James (Yaacov) arrived to
convert Spain to Christianity. He returned to Judea and was killed by
Herod Agrippa, later his disciples fled to Spain with his body, and the
Catedral is the traditional location of his burial. |

untouched villages and nature of the region. Group will divided between

the Picos de Europa district, the

Ysios in the
Rioja wine growing region. Visit the
Bodegas Winery,
conceived as a temple consecrated to wine, designed by

to view the Marques de Riscal designed
by Frank Gehry

the development and town planning of Bilboa. Drive to the fashionable
town of San Sebastian located in the
glorious setting along the bay “de la Concha” framed by two hills. View

Drive to Burgos, native city of the
legendary hero El Cid. Visit its most famous monument, the magnificent
Gothic Catedral. On to the unknown and untouched medieval village of
