Drive directly to Segovia:  Afternoon: Walking tour of old town including the Cathedral, the Alcazar, and the Roman Aqueduct one of the finest example of Roman engineering.

Drive to Salamanca via Avila. Short tour of Avila with its amazing intact 11th century walls. On to the splendid University City of Salamanca. Tour the Cathedral Vieja, University buildings and the most magnificent main square in Spain.

Drive to Leon former capitol of the Kingdom of Asturias and an important stop on the “Way of St James (Camino)”. Visit the Panteon Real and more.

Galicia: Drive along the “Camino” to Santiago de Compostela. Along the way experience an optional short walk along the Camino with the pilgrims. Drive via the villages of the Santa Catalina de Somoza and Santa Columba de Somoza.

Explore Santiago de Compostela one of Europe’s most enchanting cities, with its old quarters and a maze of narrow streets. According to the tradition the Apostle James (Yaacov) arrived to convert Spain to Christianity. He returned to Judea and was killed by Herod Agrippa, later his disciples fled to Spain with his body, and the Catedral is the traditional location of his burial.

Asturias: Drive west to the district around Santa Eulalia de Oscos one of the greenest parts of Spain. Tour the untouched villages and nature of the region. Group will divided between both family hotels.

Basque: If weather permits we shall drive in to the Picos de Europa district, the highest range in the Cordillera Cantabrica. Continue to Bilbao.

Tour the Guggenheim Museum which stands as the emblem of the city. Designed by Pritzker Prize winner Frank Gehry. Its collection focuses on art from the 1950s to the present and draws on the vast Guggenheim collections in New York and Venice. Museuo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao and more.

Drive to the village of Ysios in the Rioja wine growing region. Visit the Bodegas Winery, conceived as a temple consecrated to wine, designed by Santiago Calatrava. Continue to the medieval town of Laguardia. Next  drive to the "City of Wine" Elceigo to view the Marques de Riscal designed by Frank Gehry

Drive out to the neighborhood of Gexto and learn about the development and town planning of Bilboa.  Drive to the fashionable town of San Sebastian located in the glorious setting along the bay “de la Concha” framed by two hills. View the town from Monte Igueldo and more return to Bilboa.

Castilla Y Leon: Drive to Burgos, native city of the legendary hero El Cid. Visit its most famous monument, the magnificent Gothic Catedral. On to the unknown and untouched medieval village of Pedraza de La Sierra, wander through its enchanting streets.   Drive on to Madrid Airport for flight home, landing  Tuesday early morning:
