28	Sat	Bus	Drive up to the Sila National Park; "… which covers some of the most charming and wild areas of the Region with large and wonderful forests covering gentle plateaus, with exciting landscapes." 29	Sun	Bus	BASILICATA: Since the 1930's Basilcata has been inseparable from the name of writer Carlo Levi, where he was sent into exile and his superb book "Christ Stopped at Eboli". Matera: We shall explore the natural grottoes that were adapted to become homes and churches, known as "sassi", now a Unesco World Heritage.	Matera: Italian category 4*
30	Mon	Bus	PUGLIA: Continue to south to Lecce, a beautiful baroque town; a glorious architectural confection of palaces and churches intircately sculpted from the soft local sandstone.	Lecce: Italian category 5*
1 May	Tue	Bus	Morning free in Lecce. Drive to Salentine Peninsula, which has been declared a Regional Park. See the walled port town of Otranto. Next, I Parchi del Salento, we shall take a walk (not difficult) along one of its nature trails and see its unusual mystical remains from the past, and much more.	Lecce: Italian category 5*
2	Wed	Bus	Drive to Ostuni which shines like a pearly white tiara, walk through the old town. Continue to land of the "trulli", Puglia's unique rural architecture. Alberobello, walk through the Zona dei Trulli (Unesco World Heritage). Drive to Martina Franca for overnight.	Martina Franca: Italian category 4*
3	Thu	Bus	Head north to Castel del Monte, an unearthyly geometric shape on a hill top, mysterious and perfectly octagonal, a Unesco World Heritage site. Continue to Trani and explore the historic center with its medieval churches and glossy streets stone streets indicate a properous past (If possible we shall also enter).	Trani: Italian category 4*
4	Fri	Bus	Morning free in Trani for self exploration. Afternoon drive to Bari, walk around its chic medieval old town with its graceful piazas, 40 churches and more than 120 shrines. Visit the remarkable Basilca di San Nicola in Puglian-Romanesque style, dedicated to burial place of Father Christmas-Santa Claus. Return to Trani.	Trani: Italian category 4*
5	Sat	Bus	Drive to Promotorio del Gargano, one of Italy's most beautiful areas. Monte Angelo, located at a height of 796 meters, a famous pilgrimage site. Continue to Umbra Forest which is favoured by the rainfall (1,350 mm per year), as a result is dense and lush. We shall take a walk (not difficult) along one of its nature trails. Drive to Vieste.
